We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our global team and take ownership of building high-performance backend services and APIs.

About the Project – Zephyr Cloud
Zephyr Cloud is a next-generation deployment and management platform that:

  • Unifies tools for building, testing, and deploying applications

  • Supports instant feature releases with safe rollbacks

  • Accelerates CI/CD with a developer-first approach

  • Scales seamlessly for startups and enterprises

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services & APIs (REST/GraphQL) in Node.js

  • Work with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrate services

  • Optimize backend systems for stability, performance, and security

  • Participate in architecture decisions, technology selection, and system improvements

  • Mentor backend engineers and promote best practices

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to transform requirements into technical solutions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues quickly to ensure high reliability

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of backend development experience (Node.js preferred)

  • Strong background in system architecture, scalability, and distributed systems

  • Proven experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Hands-on expertise in optimizing backend performance and working with databases

  • Technical leadership and mentoring experience is a plus

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Comfortable working remotely with distributed international teams (LATAM preferred)
